The standard prioritises reuse over recovery or disposal, in a global effort to minimise electronic waste streams, and promotes standardised testing and grading protocols for consistency across the industry.

e-Stewards

E-Waste Certification

e-Stewards Certification is a leading global programme designed to ensure the proper handling and disposal of old electronic equipment, letting individuals and organisations identify recyclers that adhere to the highest standard of environmental responsibility and worker protection. Certification is open to electronics recyclers, refurbishers and processors, and provides a rigorous set of criteria that prevents irresponsible or illegal handling of hazardous waste and e-waste streams, while promoting data security, social responsibility, and environmental protection.

AS9100

Aerospace Quality

AS9100 is the globally recognised Quality Management System standard for the aviation, space and defence industry, built on the foundation of ISO 9001 with stringent additional requirements for safety, reliability, and traceability in aerospace manufacturing and supply chains. Developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group, with representatives from Europe, the Asia Pacific region and the Americas, it adds requirements specific to aviation, space and defence, including the handling of counterfeit parts, human factors of manufacturing quality, product safety, ethics training, risk-based thinking, and monitoring supplier delivery performance.

HIPAA / ISO 27799

Healthcare Security

HIPAA and ISO 27799 address information security management in healthcare, acting as a healthcare-focused companion to generic information security standards, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal health information across every form and stage of data, from storage to transmission. The standard tailors information security to the unique environment of healthcare, addressing patient consent, clinical data, and telehealth, and helps organisations manage risk, prevent breaches, and maintain the privacy and security of sensitive patient data.
