We assess and certify only
We do not design or run your safety system, and that independence is what gives your certificate its credibility with clients, principal employers and regulators.
Safety that depends on luck is not safety. ISO 45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management, giving organisations a structured way to identify, control and reduce workplace risk before someone gets hurt. Certification is independent proof of a genuine commitment to preventing work-related injury and ill health, with workers involved in the decisions that affect them. Certiva Global, based in Hyderabad, provides independent ISO 45001 certification and surveillance audits, operating in compliance with ISO/IEC 17021-1.

ISO 45001 sets out the requirements for an Occupational Health and Safety Management System, known as an OH&S management system: the structure an organisation uses to keep its people safe and healthy at work and to improve its safety performance over time.
Certification proves that safety is managed, not hoped for. It shows that you identify hazards and assess the risks they create, and that you control them in a sensible order, removing a hazard where you can before relying on procedures and protective equipment. It shows that you know the legal requirements that apply to your workplace and have a working process for meeting them. It shows that workers are consulted and take part in safety decisions, rather than having rules handed down to them. And it shows that incidents and near misses are investigated and used to improve. In short, ISO 45001 moves safety from reacting after harm to preventing it.

ISO 45001 is often associated with high-risk industries, and they certainly benefit, but it applies to every kind of workplace.
Construction, manufacturing, logistics and facilities management companies use it to control physical risks and to meet the requirements of principal employers and large project owners, many of whom ask contractors for it before work begins. Healthcare organisations use it to protect staff from risks such as patient handling injuries, exposure and long shifts. IT services companies and offices use it to manage ergonomic risks, travel, workplace wellbeing and psychosocial risks such as stress and excessive workload. Banking and financial services firms use it across branches and offices to show that staff safety and wellbeing are taken seriously.
If a client, a tender or a principal employer asks whether you manage health and safety to a recognised standard, ISO 45001 is the answer.
The current certifiable edition is ISO 45001:2018, including the 2024 amendment that added climate change considerations. A revised edition is in development and is expected around 2027. The direction is clear from the draft: the climate amendment is being folded into the standard itself, and psychosocial risks, such as stress, workload and harassment, are receiving more attention, an area already covered by the guidance in ISO 45003.
There is no reason to wait. When the new edition is published, a transition period will apply, and certified organisations normally move across at a scheduled surveillance or recertification audit. An organisation certified today simply carries its system forward.
Certiva Global certifies ISO 45001 through a clear, staged audit. An optional pre-assessment can be carried out first to highlight areas to strengthen before the formal cycle begins.
Our auditor reviews your occupational health and safety management system documentation, including your hazard identification and risk assessment, and confirms it is ready for full assessment.
The main certification audit. Our auditor assesses how the system works on the ground, visiting work areas, examining controls and records, and speaking with workers as well as managers. If the evidence supports certification, the certificate is issued.
Certification then runs on a three-year cycle, maintained through annual surveillance audits, with recertification at the end of the cycle.
Certiva Global is an independent international certification body based in Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad, serving organisations across India and worldwide, and operating in compliance with ISO/IEC 17021-1.

ISO 45001 certification is independent confirmation that your organisation operates an Occupational Health and Safety Management System meeting ISO 45001, the international standard for occupational health and safety. A certification body audits the system and, if the evidence supports it, issues the certificate.
